You need to buff that wax when it’s dry-24 hours. That last end shot looked awful and patchy because you did not apply and buff the wax properly. 2-3 coats is necessary for a kitchen because of spills and condensation etc. Annie Sloan has a short video explaining how to wax an also how to feather the paint so u don’t have to sand it down.

Caulk is an inappropriate material for this and does nothing for the integrity of the wall covering.

No……this is not how to do this. You need a mortar or tile saw with the right blade, and you cut the mortar out from between the bricks, and replace the mortar. Don't use caulk. This is just a cosmetic fix, you need new mortor.

I painted cabinets last 25 year professionally, if I ever paint any cabinet like this I will get call back every day ,you don't sand before but you sand after you put paint,that white tape you put on the wall most likely will take of the wall paint off ,when you sand the paint with machine most likely that you will take a lot of paint you can't get away with touch up ,who is gonna clean the hinges....... I can keep going like this ,I'm 90 percent sure that house owner will call professional soon

drop cloths to protect counters? 220 light sanding between coats, also put a little amount of the paint in with the matt vanish if putting top protective coat on instead of wax.

This is not the right repair. But, DIY'ers only care about the quick fix. Please don't follow this method.

The worst possible way anyone should do this kind of repair. You have a ziggurat crack which means the mo9rtar is doing exactly what it should when the building moves. This nothing more than settlement, as opposed to a foundation issue, which would have split the bricks as well as the mortar, in a straight line. The crap in the tube is harder than the mortar and your results are equally horrendous. If you don't know how to do mortar joint repairs, please do not do it this way, you will have more problems than you can handle 3 years down the line. Give up lady, this is disgusting advice.

I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.
